Complex Magazine Photoshops Sexy Kim Kardashian

The image in question features the curvy Kardashian posing in a leotard and belt, but the outrage seems to stem from the fact that the image that was released in the magazine is noticeably airbrushed. Everything from her skin tone to her thigh smoothness has been touched up a bit so she looks flawless.

Every day women are presented with images of celebrities, artists, and musicians on the cover of magazines that we know have been altered within an inch of their existence to meet a certain predetermined standard. In this position, I have access to thousands of candid photos of Kim Kardashian that show that she's a perfectly pretty and petite lady, and while I don't really see the point of Complex touching up a woman who has a pretty flawless complexion and body as it is, I don't understand why this is treated as if it's some sort of newfound media transgression.
