America's Next Top Model

Things turned nasty at the New York auditions for America's Next Top Model on Saturday. Three people were arrested and six others were injured after a brawl broke out amongst the model hopefuls.

According to police estimates, 10,000 people showed up for a chance to work it on the runway for Ms. Tyra Banks. According to witnesses, the maybe models turned angry when conditions at the audition grew increasingly disorganized. Many had waited overnight for a chance to try out for the 13th cycle of the reality show.

One man and two women were arrested for disorderly conduct and two of the six hurt were taken to the hospital. Police shut down the event, saying it wasn't properly organized. That might be an understatement, considering the footage of the fracas, which you can check out in the video below.

Tyra Banks and co-executive producer Tom Mok issued a joint statement late Sunday, saying: "We are concerned by the events that occurred Saturday afternoon in the vicinity of the New York City casting call for the next cycle of 'America's Next Top Model.' At this time, we still don't know all the details of what happened or what triggered the incident. We appreciate the efforts of the NYPD and will assist them in any way possible in this matter.
