Julia Roberts curses up a storm in, um, honor of Tom Hanks

America's sweetheart has one heck of a potty mouth.

Julia Roberts gave a colorful tribute to Tom Hanks on Monday, dropping the F-bomb several times at a Film Society of Lincoln Center event honoring the actor.

"Alright well, it's late and I'm paying my babysitter overtime and I have to pee," Roberts began. "So Tom, everybody likes you. All my bits are gone."

"Listen, I had lunch today with Rita and her were here and her waist was here [motioned small] and her a was like that, so what can I tell you that's new? Tom Hanks."

Audience members, including Charlize Theron, burst into laughter, Us Weekly reports

Roberts went on to make fun of some of her pal's movies.

Of Hanks' 2004 flick "Ladykillers," she said, "I love the Cohen brothers, but the hair ... I didn't even know what the movie was about!"

She also gave a candid opinion of another 2004 film, "The Terminal."

"You in the airport with the accent? It was a pass for me. Airport? Were you just an immigrant lost? I didn't know. I love you, and I didn't know what to do, really. God, I'm wearing the same dress tonight as your publicist!"

Her roast was clearly a crowd pleaser, but Roberts was clear that the jabs were made with affection.

"Listen, I've got to get home. But this much we know.I will say this: Tom Hanks, I love you."

Julia Roberts: Pretty Woman but Giant Potty Mouth

The Pretty Woman was in New York City Monday night for the Film Society of Lincoln Center event honoring fellow Oscar owner Tom Hanks. But apparently, somebody forgot to clue in the actress that she meant to toast her Charlie Wilson's War colleague...not roast him.

"All right, well, it's late, and I'm paying my babysitter overtime, and I have to pee," she began. "So Tom, everybody f--king likes you. All my bits are gone."

Instead of saluting Hanks' estimable cinematic career, she deigned to point out a few of his turds more forgettable features...

"I love the Coen brothers, but the hair, Tom, I didn't even know what the f--k that movie was about," she said of The Ladykillers before digging into 2004's The Terminal. "You in the airport with the accent? It was a pass for me. Were you just an immigrant lost? I didn't know. I love you, and I didn't know what to do, really. God, I'm wearing the same f--king dress tonight as your publicist!"

A few more F-bombs later, Roberts finally said her farewells.

“Listen, I’ve got to get home…I will say this: Tom Hanks, I love you."

When the guest of honor finally took the stage, he already knew the big story of the night would have little to do with him. He joked that the headlines today would read, "Julia Roberts wears same dress as publicist," adding that she "has the biggest potty mouth you have ever heard."

Charlize Theron, Bruce Springsteen, Steven Spielberg and Sally Field were among those laughing at the star's surprising need to have her mouth washed out with soap.

Salma Hayek's Balenciaga wedding dress

The actress, 42, wore a full skirted ivory gown with a heavily embroidered v-neck bodice designed by Nicolas Ghesquière to wed her husband Francois-Henri Pinault (CEO of the fashion giant PPR group) for the second time this weekend in Venice.

The couple, who first married in a secret ceremony in Paris on Valentine's day this year, invited 150 friends to join them for a masked ball to celebrate their fashion-meets-Hollywood union.

Amongst the guests were designers Stella McCartney and Gucci's Frida Giannini (who both work for Pinault at The PPR owned Gucci Group), Salma's ex-boyfriend Ed Norton, model Lily Cole and Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

Salma Hayek's Second Wedding Ceremony

Celebrating a flame of love that had not only re-ignited after a parting of the ways but had already led to an "I do" in a civil ceremony, Teatro La Fenice (The Phoenix Theater) was a fitting venue for actress Salma Hayak and Frencois-Henri Pinault to share a religious blessing of their union.

As evening began to drape a blanket of stars over the city of Venice, Italy on April 25, 2009, a cluster of heavenly bodies below-- including Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend, Bono, Penelope Cruz, Luis Miguel, Edward Norton and more-- were among the 150 guests who gathered at the opera house to witness the couple's second wedding ceremony.

According to People magazine, the bride clutched a bouquet of crystal-accented orchids and stephanotis as she walked down the aisle in a Balenciaga creation, its beauty enhanced with the addition of a diaphanous veil which cascaded from tresses styled into a bun.

Among those in the bridal party was the newlyweds daughter Valentina, who was dressed in a Bonpoint frock. The toddler no doubt enjoyed the joyful rendition of "Over The Rainbow," sung by family and friends during the ceremony.

The Venice vows were preceded by a masked ball, held at Punta Della Dogana.

America 'Obsessed' with cat-fighting women

Embracing the campy nature of their "Fatal Attaction" meets "The Temp" remake in the last week of their marketing campaign for "Obsessed," Screen Gems was rewarded with a impressive $11 million opening day for the Beyonce Knowles and Ali Larter thriller. Reviews have not been kind, but the "don't you try to touch my man" thriller touched a nerve in moviegoers. It's unclear whether it will drop off on Saturday or not, but the picture could do anywhere from $25-28 this weekend, a huge coup for the Sony Pictures division and no doubt convincing studio execs (or her agents) that Sasha Fierce can open a movie.

Coming in second was the Rogue Pictures programmer "Fighting" with $4.4 million. Arguably the first film Channing Tatum has opened on his own, the action flick could do between $11-13 million for the weekend. The result is disappointing only in that this release date caused the picture to loose a key component of its intended audience, women under 25, who instead flocked to "Obsessed." The picture will battle it out with the second weekend of "17 Again" which cumed only $3.8 million on Friday, but should get a bump on Saturday from star Zac Efron's tween following and also finish the three-day in $11-13 million range.

Fourth found the seemingly forgotten and mis-dated "The Soloist" with $3.2 million in only 2,000 theaters. The Robert Downey, Jr. and Jamie Foxx drama will be lucky to rake in $10 million for the weekend. More thoughts on "The Soloist's" release troubles here.

Rounding out the top five was DisneyNature's inaugural release, "Earth." The documentary already opened to a stellar $4 million on Wednesday and with Friday's $2.9 million has already cumed $8.5 million. Not shabby for an enviormental doc from a division that isn't necessarily mean to be a profit center for the Walt Disney Company. For the weekend, "Earth" could do between $8-9 million.

Here are Friday's top ten performers according to Box Office Mojo. Look for complete weekend estimates tomorrow on HitFix.

"Obsessed," $11.1 million.

"Fighting," $4.46 million

"17 Again," $3.85 million, $32.1 million to date.

4. "The Soloist," $3.2 million.

"Earth," $2.9 million, $8.54 million to date.

"State of Play," $2 million, $20.3 million to date.

"Monsters vs. Aliens," $2 million, $168 million to date.

"Fast & Furious," $1.9 million, $141 million to date.

"Hannah Montana: The Movie," $1.7 million, $60 million to date.

"Crank: High Voltage," $850,000, $9.9 million to date.

‘Obsessed’ Tops Strong Weekend at Box Office

Hollywood wrapped up what is usually an off-season at the box office with another strong weekend, as “Obsessed,” a thriller from Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems division, took in $28.5 million to place No. 1, according to an estimate from Sony. The film stars Ali Larter (above left) as an office temp with an unhealthy fixation on an investment banker (Idris Elba, above right), whose wife is played by Beyoncé Knowles. The Top 10 films recorded about $101 million in ticket sales, up about 33 percent from the same period last year, according to the Screenline reporting service. In second place was “17 Again,” from Warner Brothers and its New Line Cinema unit. That movie, starring Zac Efron as an adult who is transformed back into a teenager, made about $11.7 million, a drop of about 50 percent from last weekend, when it was No. 1, according to Warner Brothers. “Fighting,” from Rogue Pictures, was third with about $11.4 million; “The Soloist” from DreamWorks and Paramount was fourth, with about $9.7 million; and “Earth,” the first release from the Walt Disney Company’s Disneynature unit, was fifth, with about $8.6 million. The season’s strong performance by relatively low-budget comedies, thrillers and horror films has raised hope of a continued boom when the blockbuster season begins Friday with the release of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” from 20th Century Fox.

Ali Larter, Beyonce's "Obsessed" Tops Box Office Weekend

Ali Larter and Beyonce Knowles' fans have kept Zefron loyalists behind. The girls' "Obsessed" finished first in the three-day box office weekend, bumping Zac Efron's "17 Again" in the second place.

The thriller, which also stars "The Office" actor Idris Elba, dominated the whole show with a surprising $28.5 million gross, while Efron and Matthew Perry's "17 Again" still fared fairly well, adding another $11.7 million in its haul.

Another new Friday release was Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard's "Fighting" and Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.'s "The Soloist," bowing at 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Still in the top 10 is Disney's tween queen Miley Cyrus' "Hannah Montana: The Movie," which added $6.4 million in its gross at the 8th place.

Beyonce's Obsessed is Number 1

This weekend I had a dilemma because I really, really wanted to see Obsessed starring Beyonce, but I can't stand crowded movie theaters. I have actually been waiting for this ever since I saw the trailer in December of 2008, so I almost went to the theater Saturday because I figured I would be the only person seeing it... I guess I was wrong because it was the number one film this weekend. It looks like I'm not the only one who thinks it has been way too long since we have had a Fatal Attraction/The Crush type movie... or maybe there was just nothing else good out. Hmmmm? Never mind!

Anyway if you are like me and enjoy movies like The Crush, Poison Ivy, or say...Single White Female, check out the trailer for Crush (2009).Not the Alicia Silverstone one -- a new one. Oh yeah and that link has a picture of Silverstone's body double's butt so it may not be safe for workish.

The Truth Behind the "Missing" Episode

The truth behind a Dollhouse rumor circling the Internet is about as complicated as, well. Adelle DeWitt's appointment book.

The alarmist buzz is that fans of Joss Whedon's latest series are being deprived of seeing one of this season's episodes. Perhaps, the rumor goes, they won't even be getting the proper season finale.

The reality: Fox ordered 13 hours from Joss. The original pilot got scrapped, leaving a dozen to air. And all 12, including the legit season finale, which is titled "Omega," will be broadcast as planned.
So where is the hubbub coming from? Sources tell TVGuide.com that Dollhouse producer 20th Century Fox Television elected to script and shoot a 14th episode, on their own dime — perhaps to flesh out a DVD package, some speculate. Fox, though, at no point agreed to air that episode, titled "Epitaph One." Our insider further says that the fact that Fox took that stance should not be seen as a sign that the network has already made a decision about a Season 2 pick-up for Dollhouse, which has been battling so-so ratings.

"Epitaph One" is a standalone hour, and has no impact on the overarching Alpha storyline that reaches a boil — and launches several juicy new plot directions — in the May 8 finale.
